Germany : 2964 Garmisch modern design inspired by the Alps

January 21, 2008

After the huge success of the first spring / summer collection for the season 2007, 2964 Garmisch is presenting their second summer collection. Special attention was paid to the themes adventure, authenticity and romance. Standing for sportiness, freedom and love of nature, the 2008 summer collection alludes to the roots of alpine clothing, takes traditional elements like stitchery or appliqué and interprets them in a contemporary design.

For the upcoming summer season 2964 Garmisch presents blouses and shirts with new cuts, short cut coats - a mixture of trench coat and frock coat - as well as completely new designs.

Besides the sportive appearance you will find some new ro-mantic accents. Especially pieces of the women’s collection are cosy and fancy. Highlights are fancy accessories, contrast lockstitch seams, extraordinary pockets and prints. Warm natural colors like sand, shale or whitewashed nuances combined with intensive colors like steel, granite, azure and reed define the special look of the collection.

This contrast of soft light colors and intensive dark colors is based on the natural color changes in the mountains. Manifold surfaces are dominating especially the jackets collection: light and semi functional coated cotton, whitewashed and structured optics, double face models as well as traditional linen and extraordinary washings and special lockstitches. In the t-shirt collection the focus is set on partly transparent cotton and linen fabrics for layering.
